Or perhaps I've just overdosed on Jasper Fforde. So, just links this evening while I have an early night and try and remember how to compose semi coherent sentences again tomorrow.
- The Sunday Times has a list of the best (and worst) literary quotes of the year; (shame about the Peter Ackroyd award. But I still want the book anyway);
- A great article by Clive James on his childhood reading obsessions;
- A mind expanding end of year list at RSB;
- An article in the Guardian on Ursula Le Guin whose Earthsea Quartet I loved and keep meaning to re-read. Ms Le Guin has some sensible (and not bitter, though they could well have been) things to say about the whole issue of JK Rowling's 'discovery' of wizards;
- My favourite audiobook of the year: Sean Penn reading Bob Dylan's Chronicles. My only criticism is that it's too short. Anyone got any idea when Vol 2 is due?
I'm reading Something Rotten. I have to stop before I hurt myself.

I find Fforde utterly mad and utterly compulsive reading!

I love Fforde too. His Thursday next books are a hoot! Loved Something Rotten with Hamlet mooning around all over the place :)
